What Ange Postecoglou has told Daniel Levy as Tottenham boss expects to be sacked despite Europa League triumph
TBR Football can exclusively confirm that Tottenham Hotspur manager Ange Postecoglou is still expecting to be sacked.
Postecoglou led Tottenham to their first European trophy since 1984 – and first major trophy since 2008 – by winning the Europa League last week.
Spurs ran out 1-0 winners over Manchester United in the final in Bilbao to cement his place in the club’s history books.
However, Postecoglou still feels his job is not safe, and TBR Football can reveal what he has said to chairman Daniel Levy amid this uncertainty.

Ange Postecoglou tells Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy to give him more time
TBR Football chief correspondent Graeme Bailey understands that Ange Postecoglou is expecting to be axed as Tottenham Hotspur boss in the near future.
However, we are told that the Australian has told Levy to give him more time at the helm of Spurs.
Postecoglou guided Tottenham to the Champions League last week after claiming the Europa League crown with victory over Manchester United.
However, Postecoglou is aware that Daniel Levy has been doing work on a host of possible replacements.
Despite his Europa success, Spurs ended the season with another defeat, making it 22 for the season.
If, as expected, a change is made at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, it is because of their horrendous league form.
What Ange Postecoglou has told reporters about his future
Pundits are split over the Tottenham manager’s future – Alan Shearer believes Postecoglou will go, while Micah Richards thinks the Spurs boss will stay.
As for Gary Neville, he speculated that Postecoglou could leave Tottenham on his own terms after the “horrific stick” he received.
Postecoglou said after Tottenham’s loss to Brighton that he’s finding it “really weird” talking about his future at the club in the wake of their Europa League triumph.
“I will be honest – I have been finding it really weird talking about my future when we have done something unprecedented.” Postecoglou told reporters.
“I have had to answer the questions because no one else at the club is in the position to do so I guess.
“But I can’t answer that question about me and my future. Like I said, part of me is thinking ‘why am I even being asked that question?’ But it is what it is.
“I have got no doubt though that this could be a real defining moment for this club because wherever I have been I have made an impact where I have brought success to a club that hasn’t had it for a while.
“You just have to look at those clubs’ trajectory even after I left, they are still competing for things.
“I really think this is a moment in time where this club could push on and be a real contender for honours on a yearly basis.”
